Cencap is a community-based financial institution dedicated to serving Hartford. With nearly 9,000 members and over $36 million in deposits, we’ve been committed to providing essential financial services for over 70 years. Our Strategic Plan for 2024–2030 focuses on enhancing member experience, expanding our product offerings, and improving organizational health to continue supporting our community effectively.
Cencap Federal Credit Union is the new and improved Hartford Municipal Employees Federal Credit Union. Our ideals are the same as when we started in 1950, but our vision for the future and services we offer demanded we keep up with the times. We no longer just service Hartford area Municipal Employees, but rather we offer our services to anyone who lives, works, learns or prays in certain underserved areas in or around the city of Hartford. This is an exciting time for us and we look forward to servicing our current members while reaching out to a new group of members.
